I love talking about our Catucaí Red. I call it the “demystifier”. First, these are my favorite cherries to eat at the plantations. Yes, you can eat/suck the juice out of coffee cherries. Second, many in the coffee industry claim yellow cherries are better than red cherries when it comes to flavors/quality. That is just untrue. The Catucaí Red is good proof. Lastly, these are our tiniest beans and some associate size with quality. Again, that’s incorrect. As a farmer, I can speak with confidence. In my personal opinion, our Catucaí Red is our best option for a perfect espresso shot. It consistently delivers a chocolatey, naturally sweet and mildly red-berries fruity cup, with a rich crema on top.
